\n\tHey Y'All, Respect the Mighty Alligator Gar, cuz there ain't that many left The Arkansas River in the Conway Area however is home of the largest population in the state there are a bunch of new laws for these monsters, so make sure you're coolio with them according to Arkansas Game and Fish: An Alligator Gar Permit (crosslink to .pdf of permit), is required to take alligator gar. Only one alligator gar may be taken per 24 hour period. No alligator gar greater than 36 inches may be taken from noon, May 1-noon, July 1, statewide.
