The Branciforte Branch of the Santa Cruz Public Library has these interesting aspects is in a residential neighborhood of the Branciforte area of town, near the intersection of Water Street, Soquel Avenue and Morrissey Boulevard (ie the "Triangle of Doom"). The materials available for borrowing are all annotated with the Branciforte branch code "B40".

Materials

The library has a limited collection, much the same as the other branch libraries in the county. The children's section, however, is about the same size as the adult fiction and non-fiction selections combined. They also have a decent selection of magazines, audio cassettes, and videos, with a small, highly-used selection of DVDs and CDs. The reference selection is minimal. Tax forms and government documents are readily available.

Technology

The library has many computer workstations available, which require signing in with you library card barcode number. For people with laptop computers, wireless internet is available. There is a payphone outside the building, and a photocopier near the circulation desk.

Transportation

A small parking lot is located behind the building, but you can also park on the street. The nearest bus stop is at the "Soquel and Darwin" stop, which is along the routes of many of the buses running between Capitola Mall and the Santa Cruz Metro Center. Bike racks are located outside the front lobby.
