Cool cafe at the end of downtown, where Pacific and Front come together at Mission. Check out the nice courtyard seating in the back, or the interesting downtown activity from the street-side seats.

The bathroom is unmarked, fairly clean, and requires a key.

Lulu Carpenter's website states: Our Pacific Avenue cafe opened in January 1992. It was the first business to reopen on Pacific Avenue after the 1989 earthquake, and for many years, it felt like it might be the last. It's in a beautiful brick building built in 1865, by a soldier in John Fremont's Western Command. Lulu Carpenter owned a millinery and dress shop here mid-century. Today, it serves as our anchor store and houses, in addition to a 3 group Synesso Hydra and an old school turntable, The Kitchen at Lulu Carpenter's. We offer brunch 8-2 on weekends, and a weekday breakfast and lunch service from 8-2 . We've also got a fledgling bakeshop thing going on in there, where Pascual and his bakers make delicious goodies, every morning, from honest to goodness ingredients, and a little bit of love.

In addition to their anchor store on Pacific Avenue, there is also Lulu's Midtown (925 Soquel Avenue) as well as Coffee Cat in Scotts Valley. Lulu's can also be found at the Farmers' Markets in Live Oak, downtown, and westside Santa Cruz.

Lulu's had another location in downtown Santa Cruz called Lulu's at the Octagon, however it closed in 2016.
