The War Memorial at the opening of Alec Johnston Park has been planted up with a special border of rosemary plants which represents remembrance.  Thanks to Councillor David Haines and the Mt Barker gardeners.

The Remembrance Day Ceremony fro the public was held at the War Memorial on Saturday 11th November 2006 at 10.30am.

The Hahndorf Primary School and Preschool invited Hahndorf Community Members to share in the school Remembrance Day Celebrations on Friday 10th November, 9.00 - 11.15am to:

• walk through the class and see our children focusing on Australian History 9 - 10am
• share in a morning tea with the Grandparents of our students 10 - 10.45am
• join for Remembrance Day Assembly 10.45 - 11.15am
