Four seats with four-year terms are up for re-election.

Glenn Nelson has announced in March 2014 that he will not run for re-election in November 2014.

Irene Patalan is also not running for re-election.

Ypsilanti Community Schools--School Board

The YCS was created by merger of the Ypsilanti and Willow Run school districts at the November 2012 ballot; an initial board was named by WISD, and all seven board positions will be up for election for the first time in November 2014.  18 candidates are running; term lengths are staggered so that only some board seats are up for reelection in any future cycle.
