History
After visiting the beautiful town of Asheville, George Washington Vanderbilt decided to build his own summer estate. The construction project was huge, and Vanderbilt even went overseas to buy luxurious furniture to create a feeling of comfort. Vanderbilt devoted his lifetime to building Biltmore House, the most prominent examples of the Gilded Age. His soul was deeply ingrained in the history of Biltmore.

One of the most impressive part of the house is the library, which has an amazingly large collection of books. The library is also George Vanderbilt’s favorite place. After he died, his soul stays in the library. During his lifetime, Vanderbilt was used to go into the library if a storm was approaching. As a lot of visitors have reported, they always see a shadowy figure in the library during their visit, especially when a storm is about to come.
Not only George Vanderbilt, but also other family members also remain in the house. The swimming pool is continuously reported as having ghosts splash water into visitors. Some people can even hear creepy laughter, which seems rather scary.
