Cafe Tibet serves several traditional Tibetan items including five varieties of momos (dumplings), curries, and a few different desserts. They also make sandwiches which are served on a traditional bread called Bakleb, though the concept of sandwich is not native to Tibet. There are several vegan and vegetarian options, many made with tofu.
Entrees (at least the momos) come with a side salad consisting of lettuce, carrots, and a vinegar based dressing. Some dishes come with rice (basmati or organic brown). Also available as a side dish is Pak, a Tibetan stable food made from roasted barley flour (Tsampa), and served in sweet and savory varieties.
The combination Momos (#22 on the menu) come with your choice of three types of the dumplings. They are served with a yogurt sauce, a thick orange sauce (mint?), and a spicy and flavorful reddish sauce.
The one item only available at night is Sha-bhak-leb, a fried savory pastry filled with with beef or vegetables.
