Camarillo regional park is a great place to view birds and wildlife. The local Audubon Society recommends it for birding. (http://www.venturaaudubon.org/Sites.htm)

There are several hiking trails around the old dairy and up the nearby hills. It's one of a few places with native lowland scrub habitat remaining. A website with a map: http://venturacountytrails.org/RecentPhotos/2008-11-07CamarilloRegionalPark/_GoogleEarthMap_jpg.html

On April 14, 2009 the Ventura County Board of Supervisors voted to give the land that makes up the park to CSUCI.
