The Center for Nonprofit’s mission is to help nonprofit organizations operate more efficiently and effectively in achieving their missions. Responding to a growing regional need for comprehensive nonprofit management assistance, the United Way of Greater Chattanooga established the Center for Nonprofits in 1999 with a directive to provide capacity building services to the nonprofit community.

The Center for Nonprofit’s core values include excellence, accountability, inclusiveness, responsiveness and a community focus. Since its inception, these values have driven the Center’s work.  The Center offers a wide variety of services to the nonprofit community from training to consulting to networking, technical support, resources and advice.  Since its founding, hundreds and hundreds of organizations have taken advantage of the Center’s affordable programming.  Nearly 2,000 nonprofit professionals and volunteers benefit from our programs each year.  The Center has more than 250 member organizations from cities and towns located throughout the Chattanooga region. Nonprofit staff and board members alike benefit from the continuous improvement and dynamic array of resources available through the Center.  To learn more about the Center for Nonprofits, please visit our website at www.cnpchatt.org.
