Bear's Den restaurant/private club has your typical somewhat dive-ey college bar feel. The pizza and calzones are good. No deep fryer exists at the Bear's Den, so if you require french fries, you should graze elsewhere. However, they do have chips (potato and corn) and salsa if you just need a light snack.

On Friday afternoons, the bar can be overrun with friendly academic types taking advantage of happy hour. The bar staff is phenomenal, typically very attentive and quick with your order. The pizza specials ($5 for a single topping pizza during happy hour) can be very good. The buffalo chicken pizza has quite a following.

While you're there, check out the up-armored men's restroom. Over the years, more and more plywood sheeting has been added, due to unruly drunkards getting in fisticuffs with the drywall.
