FORT MYERS, Fla. - Frank A. Edward, 84, of Shell Point Village, Fort Myers, Fla., a frequent summer visitor to Kiwassa Lake, died Sunday, March 6, at the Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 15, 1904, in Montreal, Canada, the son of Benjamin and Louisa Edward.

Mr. Edward was a graduate of the McGill School of Dentistry and served six years in the Canadian Army, attaining the rank of major.

He practiced dentistry in Montreal for 35 years before retiring to Florida in 1970.

He was married to longtime Saranac Lake resident Bea Sprague in 1966. She survives.

The Edwards had been residents of Shell Point Village for the last four years.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was to be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at the Shell Point Village Church.
