Wisconsinites have a growing interest in wine and new wineries and vineyards are popping up every year. There are new cold weather wine grape varieties that can be grown in the area have made it possible to enjoy locally grown wines. Menomonie is located in the Upper Mississippi Valley AVA which includes parts of Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. 

The Barrel Room is a wine bar in downtown Menomonie. They stock a variety of excellent wines including a few local wines.

Just north of Menomonie is the Cottage Winery Vineyard, where you can enjoy locally made wine and the beautiful scenery.

If you are interested in fermenting your own wine, Beverage Artisan is Menomonie's local shop for brewing and fermentation.
