On Sunday, September 15, 2013, Mayor Jean Quan led a walk through the Fruitvale District. It made the news. She is using this as a crime fighting strategy: "She believes that neighborhoods with more foot traffic happen to have less crime than those that are more desolate."
According to the article, Quan will be running another walk in October. Did the October walk happen???
