The Lake Merritt Station Area Plan is a set of policies, programs, and zoning changes to plan and coordinate land use, buildings, housing, transportation, and open space within about a half-mile of the Lake Merritt BART Station.
The Plan seeks to improve quality of life, housing supply, economic opportunities, and use of transit in this dense, vibrant neighborhood. The Plan has been in development for several years, with the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) released in July 2014.
