The second annual Love Our Lake Day is September 14, 2014 presented by City of Oakland and WOBO.  

Enjoy car free streets (walk/bike/play from the Pergola on the North East corner of Lake Merritt  around the east side of the lake on Lakeshore Avenue  through Downtown to Latham Square.  See route for details. Walk, Bike, Stroll, Dance the Lake on car-free streets. Activities, music, community resources will line the 3 mile route from the top of Lake Merritt at the Pergola, through 14th and Alice Streets, down 17th Street to a full blown party at Latham Square.

2pm: ceremony hosted at the pedal-powered "Rock the Bike" stage at the Lake Merritt Boulevard Amphitheater. Events are free, car-free, commercial-free, unless you must have that commemorative Oaklavia T-shirt or bites from one of 15 mobile food vendors. 

Activities include a special walk led by Oakland Urban Paths.
