Oakland Movement Festival At Tassafaronga Park –
On Saturday, September 27, 2014 the Tassafaronga Recreation Center will present the Oakland Movement Festival, in partnership with Project Access Resource Center, Whole Foods and the Partnership for Children and Youth.
The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Tassafaronga Park, 975 85th Avenue.
Community members of all ages can enjoy the free healthy gift bags, health and STD screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, dance performances, DJ, free bike repairs and a family fun entertainment zone.
Project Access Resource Center (PARC) contracts with the Oakland Housing Authority to provide the residents of the Tassafaronga Village resources in the development. The Tassafaronga Recreation Center has collaborated with PARC on various programs and projects since the housing development reopened.
