We've been called "The Last Refuge of Radical America" by The New York Times, so I guess we have a reputation. Some journalists even wonder whether gentrification will destroy our tradition of protesting (presumably before falling upon their fainting couches out of worry and concern)...or perhaps gentrifrication will energize it.

(Note: there used to be a number of Oakland livestreamers, but there has been a significant trend away from livestreaming protests since Occupy because people don't want to have the location of the protest or participant faces made public.)
