The New Parish is a funky little music venue at 1743 San Pablo Ave. hosting an eclectic bunch of artists. From the street, it looks like nothing, but it opens onto a courtyard, and behind that is a two-story structure where the stage is. There are limited seats in the balcony, so it pays to get there early. But it's fun to watch from in front of the stage or linger at one of the tables further back.
The New Parish was the recipient of the 2015 East Bay Express Readers' Poll Award for Best Nightclub.
