Wild Oakland is a group that wants Oakland-ers to understand the wildlife around us (and there is wildlife around us!). They offer walks and classes monthly and partner with Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue whose purpose is to help injured/orphaned wildlife and educate about wildlife and nature.
There are weekly volunteer opportunities for cleanup at Lake Merritt.
