Creek

Amaya Creek begins in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It runs through the Soquel Demonstration State Forest then joins with Soquel Creek.

History

Named for two brothers that owned that section of land in 1860. Their name may have been Amaya or Amayo.

Businesses

It begins and ends in forest. There are no businesses for miles.

Transportation

No vehicle roads approach the creek. It is reachable only by foot.

The USGS has the creek listed as 370430N latitude by 1215531W longitude. It is not listed on most traffic maps.
