Popscene is a weekly dance night held at Rickshaw Stop on Thursday nights, starting at 9-10 pm. (Depending on the show)
On Thursday nights, this is the place to be for all music and dance lovers over 18. Drinks at the bar, music and moves on the dance floor, this place can't be beat.
They often have bands play in the first couple of hours, and then dancing after that. The musical trend consistently leans towards indie/brit pop, and the crowd tends to be scene setters.
On nights when there is a live act, the cover charge is around $10 to $12. Otherwise, the charge is $5 for those 21 and up, and $8 for those 18 to 20.
