2022 Mask Policy

At alert levels RED or YELLOW, masks are mandated for all indoor spaces at SFSU.

At alert level GREEN, masks are optional.

This policy is more cautious than the Center for Disease Control which now recommends rather than requires masks for Yellow alert.

The campus and the CSU regularly communicate about COVID-19  policies and practices. The CSU issued a vaccine mandate in 2021 for students and employees who will be on-campus this fall semester (see link below).

COVID-19 Vaccination Interim Policy

On May 12, President Mahoney announced that nearly all fall 2020 courses would be offered on-line (see new item below). In the fall of 2021, some courses will be held in person on campus.
