Golden Gate Xpress is San Francisco State University's daily online bilingual student-run newspaper updated throughout the academic school year. The university's newspaper has changed names several times, but its history can be traced back to 1927. The publication frequently wins national and statewide awards from the Hearst Journalism Awards Program, Associated Collegiate Press, College Media Association, Society of Professional Journalists, California College Media Association, California Newspaper Publishers Association and other media organizations. Golden Gate Xpress is the sister publication of Xpress Magazine. The current advisors for the Golden Gate Xpress are Josh Davis, Rachele Kanigel, and Ana LourdesCárdenas.
