Summary: The student health center at San Francisco State University offers many services pertaining to sexual health. There is STI testing and birth control at a cost. The most common STI tests are; Chlamydia, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, and HIV. The health center offers a wide variety of birth control methods that are covered by the Student Health Fee included in tuition, or are priced very reasonably. These include Birth control pills, The Patch, Nuva Ring, Implant, Depo shot, IUD, external condoms, diaphragm, and emergency contraception (morning after pill). Services also provided include pregnancy tests and options, Cervical cancer screening, and counseling.
Evaluation: The student health center at San Francisco State is the most prominent resource when it comes to sexual health, but there are other resources that are not directly associated with the student health center. Health Promotion and Wellness sponsors a free STIAdd a caption
testing truck to come to campus twice a month.
