Students for Quality Education (SQE) is an organization that wants to ensure that everyone can go to college regardless of their income status or racial identity. They prioritize a safe environment for students by calling for the campus police to be disarmed and disbanded. One of their biggest campaigns is for the promise of free higher education and tuition rollback. They have been fundamental in the decision for SFSU to require Ethnic Studies.
There are chapters for SQE in almost every CSU, including SFSU. The SFSU chapter is active on their Instagram page and is providing Zoom meetings to talk about important issues that our students face.
