Terra Foundation was a non-profit group that offered programs and retreats in deep ecology, permaculture design, eco-art, handicrafts, herb lore, and nature awareness. Terra described itself as "a member of the growing network of groups and individuals who are connecting San Luis Obispo County into a model of sustainable living for the Third Millennium. We support, promote and work together with other locally-based organizations to address the challenges of local food production, clean renewable energy, water conservation, climate change, eco-centric education, and speaking up for democracy. All of these add up to one thing: community!"
