The largest city in the state of Michigan and Wayne County and the anchor city of Southeastern Michigan. Downriver's growth has historically been tied to that of the city proper. It borders the Downriver cities of Melvindale, Lincoln Park, Ecorse and River Rouge. Some attractions include Eastern Market, Comerica Park, Ford Field and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
It can easily be reached from Interstate 75, Fort Street or West Jefferson Avenue north and Interstate 94 east.
