A GP38-2, still in Grand Trunk Western livery, pushes several tanker cars out of Flat Rock Yard. The Flat Rock Yard is a large switching yard on the Canadian National Railroad on the border between Flat Rock and Woodhaven. A number of trains terminate or begin here. The official address is 24002 Vreeland Road, Flat Rock. Originally built by the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad as a hump yard (a switching yard built on a small specifically-made hill), it was converted by Grand Trunk Western into a flat yard.
