Will Carleton Road forms the southern border of Huron Township from Telegraph Road west to where Grafton Road branches off into Monroe County farmland just west of Interstate 275, occupying the same position in the Public Land Survey System grid occupied by Gibraltar Road. The road runs several miles north of Carleton.

The road is named after William Carleton, a famous poet from southern Michigan.

Will Carleton Road continues west as Oakville-Waltz Road.
