The Starter Bakery has the most delicious Kouign-amanns, which are a Breton pastry with multiple layers filled with sweet and salty goodness! In fact, most everything they bake is delicious, including the pastries, breads, cookies, quiches and croissants!! This is a small business we should all go out and support!
Starter Bakery sells at various Farmer's Markets, including Grand Lake: Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Sundays Temescal: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; Montclair: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and Lafayette (Seasonal): 9:00 to 1:00 p.m. On Wednesday: Albany (Seasonal): 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Their pastries (including the Kouign-amanns) are also available at Haddon Hill Cafe.
