The Valencia Peak Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails in Montaña De Oro, and for good reason. From the top of Valencia Peak, you get a 360º view of the coastal hills from Point Sal in the south to Piedras Blancas in the north.

Trailhead: The trail begins at Pecho Valley Rd, just south of Spooner's Cove and the campground.

Distance: 3.5 miles round trip

Difficulty: Medium

Time: 3 hours

Type: This trail can be done either as an out-and-back or a loop. If you do the loop, you'll have a bit of walking along the road back to your car.
