Toledo is a large city bordering the Ohio state line that can be reached by traveling on Interstate 75 and Telegraph Road south out of Downriver through Monroe County. It's growth is attributed to it's location on Lake Erie and at the crossroads of travel routes between Detroit and the Southern United States and between the East Coast and Chicago.

Some attractions include the Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum of Art, Imagination Station, Fifth Third Field and the Huntington Center. Despite the great reception of each of these, however, the further north you go into Downriver, the less likely residents will ever travel to Toledo, already less than median enough in Downriver as a whole.

Toledo transportation connections

Drivers here can use Interstate 280 to reach Interstates 80 or 90 to reach destinations on the east coast, and Amtrak provides service from Toledo to Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston, New York (both the city and the upstate part of the state) and our nation's capital.

Toledo media reception in the Downriver area

A number of Toledo radio stations can often be received very clearly in much of Downriver. With at least an attic broadcast antenna, although a second-story-placed (or in rare instances even just on the first floor) antenna can work as well in certain parts of Downriver, Toledo television stations can be picked up as well. In fact, the city's PBS station, WGTE, is carried on many Downriver cable systems. WGTE and WNWO-TV are often the easiest (and the latter was even carried on cable many years ago in Woodhaven and Gibraltar), though WTOL and WTVG are also daily appearances. The most difficult is WUPW-TV.
